Podcast #13

This week, hardcore from DC. The bands here are an interesting mix. Minor Threat originated the straight edge movement, Fugazi (which also features Ian MacKaye) are one of the most important post-punk bands and are the model of DIY (Do It Yourself) ethics, Rites of Spring are arguably the first "emo" band (though very different than the emo bands of today), and Bad Brains are one of the few "afropunk" bands.
