Podcast #11

This week features music from the short-lived No Wave movement from New York, and from figures associated with that movement, with noise rock, and with art rock. This will probably be the most difficult week to listen to. Pay attention to Sonic Youth and Ciccone Youth in the middle of the podcast - they're easily the most popular bands here and are more art rock than noise (and will have a new album out in a few months).

The music (and art and film) of the so-called No Wave scene was more punk than punk. These artists were true innovators. Thanks for posting - I am enjoying your podcasts.
